My internship experience at XS Brokers has served as an exceptional asset as it has provided me with real world work experience. Throughout my time at XS Brokers I have learned a tremendous amount about the E&S insurance market, underwriting, as well as the insurance industry as a whole. More specifically, being able to sit-in during company, sales, and client meetings is something that I believed to be invaluable. While the majority of my friends from school were often seen as “warm bodies” and were left to do seemingly meaningless tasks, I not only sat in during meetings but also produced marketing materials for the company as we worked on rebranding, created new marketing templates, and even was able to join in during a client golfing meeting. I feel extremely lucky to have been able to work with a company that is growing rapidly but more importantly that is filled with so many great people who never once hesitated at the opportunity to provide me with their own insight, guidance, and help. Especially when relating to not only the tasks at hand but also any career/life questions that I had in general.
